Scenes from Around the Conference

The Bugs in Bondage Mixer was a special get-together for everyone.
Thank you to Zane and Maggie Greathouse,
ButterfliesPlus!/Greathouse Butterfly Farm, Inc.
who sponsored the event.

The Bugs-in-Bondage Babes, Renee Cooke and Maggie Greathouse, served up a great evening.

Good food and good company - what a way to start the Conference!
The Photo Contest proves that you don't have to be a professional to take award winning photo's.
Ed Somers did a great job organizing the contest. Thank you, Ed!

There were many very artistic entries,
hardly enough room to display them all.

On Sunday afternoon, Ed tallied up the votes.
The winners were announced at the Banquet.

TITAG (Terrestrial Invertebrate Taxon Advisory Group) held their annual meeting at the Conference.
Erin Sullivan, representative from TITAG, organized a Silent Auction, with proceeds to be shared by
SASI and TITAG. The Auction ended just before the Banquet (see more photo's) with quite a bit of
enthusiasm from participants. Thank you, Erin, Sue Anderson and many others who spent their time to
make sure the auction went smoothly and fairly for the benefit of SASI and TITAG.

Erin Sullivan (boy, is she busy or what!) and Doug Taron did a terrific job again for this years Trivia Contest.
The teams had fun trying to answer those obscure questions they posed.
Michael Weismann found these neat remote control bugs and brought them to the Conference.
He set up "Bug Battles" at the Mixer and at the Calabasas Picnic to raise funds for SASI.
You put your money down and the object was to move your opponent outside the circle, not as easy as it
sounds! Some of the battles became quite heated. The battles netted a nice donation for SASI.
Chip Hedgcock is IICC's official photographer
and someone got a picture
of him taking a picture of them!
Thanks, Chip!
IABE held their annual meeting during the Conference and it looks like
Michael Weissmann and Dan Dunwoody received kudo's!
All around the resort, friends gathered for fun, food and laughs.
