Border Bugs I & II
Two field trips were lead by Jim Melli, San Diego Natural History Museum,
to the borderlands of Southeastern Arizona. Here elements of at least three biotic
communities stir together creating an exciting mosaic. Creatures from farther
south sometimes steal across the border into this area. The groups drove the dirt road
from Peña Blanca to California Gulch, stopping periodically to explore.
The trips ended with black lighting at Sycamore Canyon.
Thursday’s trip included Tamsin Job, David Lennette, Fred Sherberger,
Deanna Henderson, Alan Henderson, André Copeland, Kim Copeland,
Mary Burnett, Doug Taron, Craig Goldstein, Sara Sherberger, John Matuszek,
Brent Karner, Benn Smith, Angela Tague, Matthew Wihlm, Peter Bosak,
Amy Donofrio, Jane Stevens and John Rhodes.

Hmmm, wonder what it tastes like?
