| POWERPOINT PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Presenters using PowerPoint are required to submit their presentation on a CD-ROM to the registration table when checking in. All presentations will be done from one laptop PC. You will not be permitted to run a presentation from your personal computer. NO EXCEPTIONS! For convenience, you may e-mail your presentation to Mitch Magdich (mitch.edu@toledozoo.org) at least 5 days prior to the beginning of the Conference. File size should be less than 10 MB to successfully e-mail. Even if you choose to e-mail your presentation, please bring a back-up CD to the Conference. When creating your presentations, please use a standard sans serif font, such as Arial, since they are easier to read. In all cases, please use conventional font styles. Nothing unusual please. It is highly recommended that file size be kept below 25 MB. Larger files are more processor intensive. This could significantly affect the quality of your presentation by slowing animation and slide advancement. New versions of PowerPoint have a compression feature. Please use this feature when preparing your presentation. To check the size of your presentation file, right click the PP icon of your presentation. On the popup menu, select properties. The size of the file should appear in the window. Use light colored lettering on a dark background, or vice versa, for good contrast. Please do not use high-resolution images. An image resolution of 72 pixels/inch works well. Higher resolution images are processor intensive and will slow your presentation significantly. Please do not use sound with your animations. If you have any questions regarding your PowerPoint presentation, please don't hesitate to contact Mitch: e-mail: mitch.edu@toledozoo.org or Tel: 419-385-5721 ext. 2048. |
