White Common Checkered Skipper
Pyrgus albescens

General: Most commonly found along gullies and roadsides in grasslands and disturbed areas, this species is very similar to the Desert Checkered Skipper with which it sometimes flies. Adults prefer flowers to mud.

Foodplant: mallows (Malvaceae)
Status: resident
