General: The Arizona Hairstreak is a small butterfly with a light bluish-green underside but without tails. Both sexes frequent mud and may bask with wings open.
Flight: spring to mid-summer
Foodplant: buckbrush, Ceonothus fendleri; possibly oaks, Quercus sp.
Status: resident
