General: The Two-tailed Swallowtail is the largest butterfly in the Memorial. It is best seen patrolling up and down Montezuma Canyon. Adults are bright yellow with long black stripes.
Flight: spring to fall
Foodplant: velvet ash, Fraxinus velutina; cherry, Prunus serotina var. virens
Status: resident
