On Sunday, August 1 the Conference came to a reluctant end. New friends were made, old friends were reunited and everyone had a great time. As is tradition, the Banquet was preceeded with cocktails and hors d'ourvres. Although rain was not in the picture, people still got wet due to the "squirt bugs" that were part of each place setting. Following a delicious meal, Susan Post and Michael Jeffords coordinated the Door Prizes in their customary creative fashion. Thanks to Alex Rose, Stephanie Stephens and Vanessa Block for helping to distribute prizes so that we could get on to dancing.

Andrea Scheppmann, Art Evans and Randy Morgan enjoy a moment with in the Resort's hot tub before getting ready for the Banquet.
With the sun setting beautifully in the west, Carol Sutherland, David Richman, Andrine Morrison and as yet unidentified others discuss wine.

This year the Grand Prize of SASI's fundraising raffle was won by Dr. Sue. The prize was a free registration for the 2000 Conference.

Susan Post and Michael Jeffords handle the door prize event. This year included each participant receiving a balloon containing a number. But to recover the number, you had to sit on the balloon until it popped.

After Michael and Susan got everything layed out, various people went up to see what they had the possibility of winning in the drawing.

Zack Lemann won a huge black widow for being the most enthusiastic participant.
Stephanie Stephans (left) helped with Door Prize distribution. Jane McEvoy was delighted to have her number picked.
