The Conference is being held in Tucson at the beautiful Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. The Resort is nestled in the Catalina Mountain foothills with spectacular views, an interpretive nature trail, access to the Ventana Canyon trailhead and around the corner from the Sabino Canyon Recreational Area.

Conference Daily Room Rates are:
Single or Double Occupancy $85.00
One-bedroom Suite $130.00
(plus local and state taxes)

Check-in time at the Resort is 4:00pm. Guests arriving before 4:00pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. Check-out time is noon. If you are leaving after noon, arrangements may be made with the Front Desk to hold luggage until after all activities of the day are completed.

Getting to the Resort
Many people rent a vehicle for optimal flexibility during the Conference. We also have a ride exchange area on the SASI website for people to set up carpools.

If you are not renting a vehicle or carpooling, you will need to take a shuttle to the Resort.

DIRECTIONS

From Tucson International Airport to Loews Ventana Canyon:
• Depart Airport heading North on Tucson Boulevard
• Turn Right on Valencia Road and travel 2 miles
• Turn Left on Alvernon Way heading North
• Alvernon will feed into Golf Links Road East
• Follow Golf Links to Swan Road and turn Left
• Travel North about 8 miles to Sunrise Drive
• Turn Right on Sunrise to Kolb Road
• Turn Left on Kolb Road and travel 1.5 miles
• Loews Ventana Canyon is on the Right
• Turn Right on Estes Way
• Driving time is approximately 35 minutes

Directions from Phoenix International Airport:
• Follow signs to Interstate 10 going East
• Exit I-10 on Ina Road, turn left and head East
• After several miles the road changes into Skyline Drive and then to Sunrise Drive
• Continue past Swan and Craycroft Roads
• Turn left at Kolb Road and continue 1.5 miles
• Loews Ventana Canyon is on the right
• Turn Right on Estes Way
• Distance between Phoenix and Tucson is approximately 95 miles or 2 hours

There are many stores, restaurants, pharmacies, UPS and grocers at the nearby shopping center.

Traveling to Mexico

It is very simple to walk across the border. You can park in Nogales, AZ and just walk across. You can drive across the border. As long as you stay in the State of Sonora all you will need is a valid driver's license and proof of ownership of the vehicle (title), as well as a valid passport. It is also strongly recommended that you purchase Mexican auto tourist insurance.

Foreign travelers must present a valid passport, F-1 visa, I-94 and SEVIS I20

Returning to the U.S.

U.S. and Canadian citizens ages 16 and older must present documentation that proves both identity and citizenship. U.S. Passport; U.S. Passport Card; Trusted Traveler Cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST). View the complete list of acceptable documents at CBP.gov for land and sea travel.

Children ages 16 and under are required to present proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate.

Lawful permanent residents may continue to present their Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card. More information available at CBP.gov.

Mexican Citizens. Mexican citizens including children must present a passport with a nonimmigrant visa or a laser visa border crossing card.

Travel Document Requirements - International travelers entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program need to present an e-Passport if their passport was issued on or after October 26, 2006.
