Fiery Skipper Hylephila phyleus General: Though common and widespread throughout the west, the Fiery Skipper is not common in the Memorial. When the non-native Bermuda grass is introduced to an area, it will only be a matter of time before the Fiery Skipper appears. Flight: spring to fall Foodplant: Bermuda grass, Cynodon dactylon Status: rare but may occasionally breed in the Memorial.
