In the meantime, the two separate tubes, which form the proboscis, have been unrolled and rolled up several times with a liquid (glue?) till both tubes work in unison. Also the wings have been hardening and the veins filled with blood.

By the way, the wings don't need to dry because they were never wet! If the wings were wet at eclosure, they would stick together and never be able to unfold.
