Monthly Community Day at SASI

We encourage you to visit SASI in Tucson Mountain Park on our Community Days, held on the 4th Saturday of each month except December. From 9 AM to 3 PM, the gate in Gates Pass Road, 1/4 mile east of Kinney Road, is open and admission is free. For Community Days, we have a full line-up of activities, from nature walks to workshops to special speakers and we also pull live arthropods from the teaching collection and pinned specimens from the research collection into a temporary exhibit in SASI's classroom. Visitors may also wish to explore our nature trails and butterfly garden.
