Everyone loves the idea of eating something awesome, but how many of us love the idea of cooking and everything that goes along with that? Think about how much is actually involved with cooking. There’s the prep, which can be intensive, the learning of the recipe, the doing of it all, and the cleanup.

Sounds like no fun at all. So, what if we told you that you could make appetizers that are delicious and that everyone will love, but that don’t involve any cooking at all?

These aren’t just some half-baked ideas that will make your guests wonder if you really want them over. These are full-blown appetizers that people will love, and they’re easy.

Let’s look into it.

Pico de Gallo

Anyone can make this first one: pico de gallo! It’s a type of Mexican salsa that you can use with chips, crackers, tortillas, or whatever else you have.

It’s made by simply chopping tomatoes, onions, and serrano peppers and then adding lime juice, salt, and cilantro. It’s served cold or room temperature, and, as we said, it just pairs with so many things!

Because the ingredients are fresh, you should probably make the pico de gallo the day it is to be eaten. When all is said and done, it’s an easy and tasty addition to any chip or cracker!

Bacon Jam

Now we come to bacon jam, a versatile chunky spread that can be used for all kinds of appetizers! Throw some on top of a cracker with cheese, and that’s a filling appetizer right there. You can also toss some bacon jam on top of mini burgers to enhance an already delicious little treat.

Bacon jam also makes a great bacon dressing if you drizzle it over some salad. It just makes everything better when you’re trying to make some quick and easy appetizers.

Fruit Spreads

Fruit spreads bring up the rear on this list. Of course, you can buy a fruit tray at the store, but we’re focusing on things you make yourself here.

If you get some apples, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, pears, or whatever other kind of fruit you like, and you chop them up into little bite-sized chunks and then place them all on a plate, then you just made a tasty and healthy appetizer that you definitely didn’t have to cook.

Like the other appetizers here, the fruit tray is filling and will definitely do the job of keeping people’s appetites satiated until the main courses arrive.
